COPES January NEWS 2021

WISHING ALL MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

We’re all looking forward to the time when we can have our grand reunion Coffee Morning, with members, past and present. We can’t say when this will be, of course, but it will be well publicised and well worth waiting for! Watch this space….

In the meantime, stay safe and we hope to stay in touch in the usual ways:

By Zoom, newsletters; FaceBook, post, twitter, messaging, website & phone calls

We hope you’ll join us, if you can.

After a great effort for Jan’s BraveShave in our December Coffee Morning, Jan has raised well over £1000, with some money still coming in. Jan says thanks so much to all those who contributed to her fundraiser. Thank you to Jan and all her supporters. We wish you all the best with the rest of your chemo.

Just before Christmas, we had some very sad news that Josie Dauncey had passed away. She had been in hospital with breathing difficulties for some weeks. We send our sincere condolences to her daughter, Dawn, who will continue to support COPES, as she always has, since her Mum joined us several years ago.  Josie and Dawn have been wonderful supporters of COPES and we will miss Josie’s cheerful jokes and ready smile. The funeral is scheduled for January 18th at 12:40, at Southend Crematorium.

A few COPES members will be attending and if anyone wishes to join us, do get in touch. We will be sending flowers on behalf of COPES members.
