COPES June NEWS 2020

Still no news about when we can all get back together again. COPES committee members are trying to keep in touch with you all, by email, phone and text. Do get in touch if you’d like a chat. We hope we’ll see you soon. We will let you know when Coffee Mornings are back.

We would like to wish all of the Gynae Oncology team, past and present, all the very best. We know that you will have been affected by the COVID-19 in various ways. We’re sure that the consultants, doctors, nurses, health care assistants and admin staff have all been under some real pressure. We wish you a speedy return to normal and hope that you’re able to take the time to look after yourselves……….it’s been such a stressful time for you all.

We hope you know how much appreciated you all are.

While we have been in lockdown, we have gained at least three new COPES members. We’re sorry to hear about your diagnoses but glad you found us. One of them has kept in touch and we wish her all the best in her post-op recovery. We look forward to meeting you all in the ‘real world’. In the meantime, do keep in touch with us via email and Facebook or our website www.copescharity.co.uk. Good luck.

Very well done to Ben Mascall, aged 16, who decided to raise funds for COPES, in memory of his much-loved Nan, Jan Cope, who passed away in March. Ben set out to raise £200 and has raised £1146.95. A great effort from Ben and his friends and family. His Mum, Lyndsey, has arranged for the money to come to COPES.

What a lovely gesture. Your Nan would be so proud of you, Ben.

Thank you so much from all at COPES
