The Tranquillity Room….
Sponsored by COPES.
Imagine you are sitting in a crowded clinic, a hospital ward, A&E…..Maybe on your own, maybe with a family member or a friend who is as nervous as you are.
You may have attended a clinic to get the results of tests for a suspected gynaecological cancer. You may be waiting to hear news of a recurrence of a cancer or you may be told that no further treatment is available or necessary.
It may be good news, which often makes us cry with sheer relief. It may be bad news about the outcome of tests.
Whatever the scenario, here at COPES, we have all been through these situations. Some of us were told behind curtained-off parts of a ward, some of us in a clinical room, then been rushed out, to enable another patient to be seen.
