We’re pleased to wish Louise Piper, CNS, all the best with her Master’s Degree studies, this has been supported by COPES funding. Louise is fitting this around her normal CNS duties.
A big thank you to patients and staff in the Gynae Oncology Clinic who recently donated £83.88 in the COPES collecting box which is kept in the clinic.
If anyone wishes to donate to COPES we have a GoFundMe account which can be accessed via the ‘Donate’ button on our website. Why not organise a fun tea party to raise funds for COPES or ask for birthday donations?……We are always very grateful.
INFO FOR YOU
Emergency alert from the Government on Sunday September 7th at around 3 pm.
This would warn you if there’s a danger to life nearby. In an emergency, such as severe flooding, fires or extreme weather, your mobile phone or tablet will receive an alert with advice about how to stay safe.
UK Government will be testing emergency alert system (EAS) for the second-ever nationwide test. The test causes a mobile phone or tablet to:
- make a loud siren-like sound that lasts about 10 seconds, even if it’s set on silent,
- It may also cause a device to vibrate or read out the alert.
- A message will appear on your screens making it clear the alert is only a test.
And finally……SAVE THE DATE!………Our wonderful COPES Dinner Dance appears again next year on April 29th at the Roslin Beach Hotel. Why not start organising a table for your family and friends? Tables for 2 to 12 people, several COPES members will be coming as singles, to make up a COPES table. More info in our next newsletter.
