New …….COPES PHONE FRIENDS
If anyone is finding it difficult to get out and about to our Coffee Mornings or to other events, you might like to have another COPES member as a phone friend. We will try to put you in touch with another COPES member, just ring us on our COPESPHONE on 07546 316735 and leave a message.
There are still a few places left on our wonderful Moving on Morning which focuses on emotional and physical wellbeing after our initial diagnoses, followed by a delicious buffet lunch.
Held at The Royal Hotel, Southend on Thursday October 19th from 10 am until 2.00 pm.
We welcome newer members who we have yet to meet. Do get in touch.
YES, we’re already planning for Christmas. Please share with us any of your ideas for our November 4th Christmas Bazaar (to be held at the Ekco Club). We’ll be discussing it at our Sept. Coffee Morning. We’d like to know your views on various types of stalls; the layout of the hall; how to increase numbers of people who attend; any contacts you may know, who would like to run a stall (a nominal donation to be made to COPES per stall, except for COPES members). Anything to make the event more successful than ever.
Also our special (fundraising) Christmas Cards will be on sale from October, so come with your cash, if you would like to start your Christmas card buying in October. The cards will be on sale in our October, November (Christmas Bazaar) and December (Christmas Party) Coffee Mornings at a special inflation-busting price of £2.50 per pack.
