COPES October NEWS 2025
Welcome to our October Edition.
Our October Support Group and Coffee Morning is on October 5th, in The Women’s Clinic, Nightingale Centre, Carlingford Road, Southend Hospital. Drop in any time from 10 am to 1 pm.
A fabulous piece of news about an earlier newsletter story:-
You may remember Pete Merrick’s marathon cycle ride from Land’s End to John o’Groats…..
Well, Pete completed the cycle ride in great style, raising funds for three charities that were close to his families’ hearts, one of which was COPES. Pete’s sister, Louise Scully, was supported by COPES after her diagnosis and Pete wanted to support COPES with a donation.
HE RAISED A MASSIVE £2,025.20 FOR COPES.
We hope that the money will continue to support the work that is done by the CNS team, already started with a training course, to work with women having problems with menopausal symptoms
A TRUE COPES HERO!
Thank you so much, Pete Merrick
Further to last month’s newsletter item, Jane Needham has asked me to clarify her criteria for her generous offer of free sessions to COPES members.
These are free to COPES members who are about to start treatment, currently going through treatment and within the year after treatment.
The therapy sessions are held at Jane’s practice in Dunmow, Essex.
You can find out more at www.janeneedhamtherapies.co.uk or by ringing 07655 248333
Thank you so much, Jane, on behalf of all of our COPES members.
…..and finally, another big thank you to our member, Christine Reynolds, who will be joining us on the Executive Committee, as treasurer, helping out with the finances. We are so grateful. Christine says, “I don’t have any financial expertise but I’m willing to help. I’ll muddle through”. That’s what we’re all doing Christine……muddling through! We are so very grateful that you’re joining us.
