FUNDRAISING QUIZ NIGHT
Our next fun, fundraising Quiz Night, organised by Louise, will be on Friday November 4th. Doors open from 7.00 pm. All are welcome. Please bring your own snacks. Bar on site.
£5 entrance fee, payable on the door, but please book your place (or get a table of max 8 people) by November 1st, with Wendy or Louise. If you’d like to come alone or with a friend, we will be making up several COPES teams tables. That’s not a problem.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:
Saturday December 3rd COPES CHRISTMAS BAZAAR.
We have a few stalls available, free to any COPES members and their contacts. All we ask for is a cash or raffle prize donation to our Charity Fundraising cause. Please bring your friends and family to this fun event. Lots of stalls: Grand Christmas Raffle, crafts, cards, beadwork, mulled Christmas Drinks, refreshments, carols, gifts and much more. We are always looking for raffle prizes, vouchers, tokens etc so if you have any contacts, please let us know. We can supply an official fundraiser’s letter.
Saturday January 7th: Live Singer/songwriter with COPES song-writing workshop.
Saturday February 4th: Legal expert to chat about savings schemes, power of attorney, wills, etc. covering the topic of care and how if we as individuals are expected to pay for our own long-term care fees. Hundreds of houses are sold every day to cover the costs of long-term care fees. There is no selling involved in this, just advice. The session will be held in a separate room to our main coffee morning and attendance is entirely optional.
COPES Charity Christmas Cards
A wonderful range of our very own COPES charity Christmas Cards is available this year for you to buy, to help us to raise funds for COPES. Very competitive prices. You can see the many beautiful designs available at our October, November and December Coffee Morning. All cards are individually printed with our COPES logo and info.
Our Condolences to COPES member, Margaret, on the death of her husband, Charles. We send sincere sympathies to Margaret and her family. Margaret and Charles were long-time supporters of COPES, especially in the early days, generously providing thousands of pounds worth of toiletries for women who were admitted to Eastwood Ward for gynae procedures, and supporting the staff there.
