COPES February NEWS 2020

Thank you so much, Rosemary!

We’re very sad to tell you that, after many years as a member of COPES on the committee and as a member supporting women in the clinic and at coffee mornings, Rosemary has decided to take a bit of a step back. She will always be thought about fondly and welcomed back when she visits us. We’ll remember the kindnesses & the calm sympathetic way in which she has supported us all. She volunteered in clinic setting initially when she welcomed new ladies with her wonderful smile and a cuppa. We will miss so much more than those delicious cakes, Rosemary….your smile, your sympathetic ear and the way you are able to reassure new members. Rosemary will drop in on coffee mornings and COPES events whenever she can, but it’s a long journey from her home in London now.

Rosemary, one of the founding members of COPES, volunteered 14 years ago. She has done so much to support our members. We will miss her.

LATER THIS YEAR:-

Our Coffee Morning is Saturday Feb 1st (10 – 1) A great way to get the month off to a good start with chair tai chi, raffles, free massage, a talk on Coping with Change, therapies, foot health checks
We will be looking forward to many events, repeats of our popular events from the past and some new. Watch this space for a calendar of 2020 events.

Make sure you book your Dinner Dance tickets too! 23/04 at the Roslin Hotel. See Sue for details.
So far, we’re looking into afternoon tea at the Cliffs, lunch at John Lawson’s, an event on managing menopause, talks on managing change in our lives, visits from Impressions Accessories, a chat from Macmillan and a visit to Clay Cottage to unleash your inner artist. We haven’t yet got confirmation on some of these so they’re all at the planning stage. We’ll keep you updated.

Do let us know if there’s anything else you would find useful for the COPES committee to organise……we’ll do our best!

R.I.P COPES member Sara Foster.

Sending our sincere condolences to Sara’s family and friends. Sara was a lovely lady, a great awareness-raiser. She was one of three ladies representing COPES at the 2019 Ovacome Touch of Teal Tea Party 2019.

We were so sad to hear of Sara’s passing.
