COPES IN DECEMBER

A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM COPES

January 6th Coffee Morning. 10.00 till 13.00 in the Macmillan Centre, Main Building

We are very grateful to our friends at the Macmillan Centre, for letting us use their room for this month’s Coffee Morning. The Macmillan Centre is near the Costa Coffee café in the Tower Block.

We are currently having a bit of a problem with where to have our coffee mornings. The Nightingale Centre is often used for clinics on a Saturday now and we can’t always use the Education Centre. If you have any ideas for a permanent home for us, please speak to any of the committee. Our thanks to Sue for a great job in hunting for a venue for us.

Programme of events for 2018

February 3rd Coffee Morning. Nearly New stall. Craft Card making with Shona.

April 26th Grand Dinner Dance at the Roslin Hotel. See Wendy, Chris or Sue for details.

Dates will be announced when we have more info on where we can go. Venues will be announced in future newsletters.

TRANQUILLITY ROOM NEWS

Curtains are up in the tranquillity Room, we’re planning a Grand Opening with the Women’s Clinic, Fundraising Unit & members of the Gynae Oncology team. We’ll let you know how it’s going. It will feature in future Newsletters.

Committee News

We always have a fundraising Committee Meeting in January and one of the agenda items is the election of your committee. Some members may be considering their membership and we always welcome new members. If you would like to join us on the committee or if there is anyone you would like to nominate (please ask them first!) do let us know. We are looking for help with ideas, practical organisation, coffee mornings and other events. Can you help?

The present committee is as follows.:-

Wendy Barker (finance), Wendy Davies (chair), Rachel Keenan/ Liz Lawrence/Louise Piper (or someone representing CNS team), Ms Kolomainen, David Prior, Chris Roostan (vice-chair), Mr Razvi, Sue Soper (secretary) Jackie Spackman, Mo Webster. The planning sub-committee is Chris, Jackie, Sue, WendyB and WendyD.
