COPES IN DECEMBER

Here’s wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy Christmas. As we move towards the festive season, we’ll be remembering those we love, whether they’re well or in poor health, whether they are with us or in our memories. We would also like to say a huge thank you for all the doctors, nurses, including the CNS team, and the health care assistants who support COPES. Season’s Greetings to you all.

Don’t forget our Cream Tea on Tuesday. Contact Chris for Up-dates.

Many Thanks.

Thanks for a really good evening organised by Vanessa Byford. She organised a Christmas Shopping evening at ‘Lovely Homes’ of Rayleigh. Altogether she raised around £220. Lovely Homes is continuing to support COPES with displaying our collecting tins.

Thank you so much, Vanessa.

Sad Goodbyes.

We have had two very sad goodbyes this autumn. First, the lovely Leianne passed away, much loved by us and her family. We will always admire her bravery and her support for COPES. She was active in helping with fundraising for COPES and Target Ovarian. Leianne helped the younger members at COPES. She was a great supporter.

Then, our much valued friend, Val passed away, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness, so bravely borne. Val was a long-standing COPES member and supporter. She had been active in setting up the group, and supporting Eastwood Ward. Val added a calm, selfless presence in COPES coffee mornings, she was so supportive of others. Her kind face was featured in Target Ovarian publications.

Val’s selfless empathy will always be remembered by those at COPES.
